The host who loves his family is the soul of this case. The idea of this house comes from a gift not only from a man for one he loves, but also from a father for his children. It has been taken one and a half year, from design to completion, for the host to wait and hide such secret gift from the family.

Project Brief

Constructed by getting through the five-story town house, with total area of 500 square footage, the house remains the original structures. The resetting configuration and lighting mix the style of space, function, and family life. And such arrangement has become an important beginning in this case.

Project Need

The layout in each space has been taken into complete considerations of lighting and continuity of the vision. The existing multi-windows on each side of the building introduces a plenty of lighting, which extending the direction of lights. The sequential arrangements from designer, which simply brings into a lot of vivid daylight in the areas such as living room, dining room, bedroom, floors for host and hostel, small garden, villa, etc. Therefore, each user will love to stay in every place in the house and adjusts life interest.

Design Challenge

The second floor is designed into the neoclassical style which the hostel favors the most. The black-and-white totems are the main colors for the space, and roman columns split into layers in the space. On top of that, the domineering and sharp marbles staggering between each design. There are three main rooms on the third floor. The first one is a 40-ish square footage space especially for host and hostel to rest, read, and bathing. The second room, girl’s room, demonstrates the uniqueness for female youth by brushing pearl and white colors and floral. The last room, boy’s room, presents the shining neutral energy by blue and white hues. The fifth floor is the private space for the host, mainly with his favorite natural woods. The plenty of cypress aroma suffuses in the auditorium, half-outdoor pool, bathing area, etc. This is where makes people linger.

Sustainability

Walking in the house, accompanied with casual mood, will make every space for meditation, emptying, and self-existence. The designer’s repeated configurations make every client has each independent and unique space. Designer plans the layouts according to the four family members’ favorites and lives, who meticulously draws the life visions successfully. This is the place where loads joyful life for the family every day.

Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
