Project Brief
Transforming the impression of most reception centers that are closed and uninteresting. On the facade of the white-box like building thousands of iron chains are hoisted like yarn, they wrap the object sturdily. The soft and mysterious membrane looks like landscape in the mist inviting people to approach and query. Thousands of threads connect the space indoor and outdoor. The hanging fiber optics in the lobby. Dissect the axis of the heaven and earth in geometric lines.
Project Need
We’ve saved the very best spot in this reception center for the art piece down the long hallway. The black color is out there and the red color uneven blocks suspends in the air. The silver color travertine and the wood texture are like the conveyer belt in space transfer. Feels like the red army is getting ready in the black shadow and will get in a war flight any minute.
Door aside the hall has metal net from the bottom, the see-through, uneven-cut, and the white lamp and wall, seems to be all over the place but in a disturbingly balance.
Design Challenge
Using this very special kind of material totally stands out in this battle field. With the consistency, we even added some magical elements inside the building, uneven parting line goes all the way from the floor to the ceiling, completely breaking every rules that what a good design is all about. And the color-changing LED on the ceiling dramatically lightens up the entire place.
Sustainability
When it comes to interior design, it's so different from any other kind of commercial products, and the demand from the clients could go extremely complicated. From the big picture to small details, it takes a lot of hard work and even so, when the job gets done, everything pays off, totally overwhelming.

Open to all international projects this award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
