Butterfly Responsive Website - Butterfly

Digital Experience - Website

Finalist

Butterfly design great websites. But our own needed an overhaul. It was time for a redesign and a site that focuses on showcasing what we can do and demonstrates the innovative, cutting edge and generally mad skills of our design and development teams. The best way to do this? A modern redesign to a responsive layout that looks equally fabulous on something as big as a TV or something as small as your mobile phone.

Lalla Rookh - Website Project - Lalla Rookh Eating House / Butterfly

Digital Experience - Website

Translating a brand drenched by history and legend is hard to do! It has to be innovative with a splash of old-world charm. Lalla Rookh Bar & Eating House is a new dining establishment open in the heart of Perth’s CBD – this time last year, it was website-less. Back in the day, (think 1901) Lalla Rookh was a gold mine, with few prospects and little gold. “The mine site was perched on the side of a banded ironstone hill with plenty of spinifex and resident death adders. The staff and labourers were a motley crew of ex-jailbirds, remittance men, alcoholics and no-hopers numbering about 50 in all. Its only redeeming feature was the mess, made of corrugated iron and lacking flywire. The staff reckoned they would go to Marble Bar for a cool change. The mine took its name from a popular Kalgoorlie 'showgirl'. If anyone knew 'Miss Rookh' we would love to know - (discretion assured). Lalla Rookh Bar & Eating House is a local venue, offering respite for the residents and workers of Perth city. Ex-jailbirds, remittance men and no-hopers are still welcome”.

Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation – Website project - Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation / Butterfly

Digital Experience - Website

Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation (LMCF) is one of Melbourne’s longest serving philanthropic organisations, focusing particularly on social issues. The foundation’s ability to successfully raise funds makes them a dynamic contributor to the health and welfare of our community. In 2012, the foundation distributed $9.2 million to charitable agencies throughout Victoria. LMCF recently went through a branding re-fresh with the team at Design Works resulting in a fantastic new look. In order to convey LMCF’s value to the world of philanthropy, having a strong brand and strong assets is of paramount importance. The website is one of those assets and it will be viewed by a large number of users in the online space. The new site has a number of new interactive features that did not previously exist, including: an image gallery, blog, latest news section, in our community grants microsite and a home page rotating banner.

Telstra.com Consumer Site Redesign - Telstra Digital

Digital Experience - Website

Finalist

Telstra.com has the largest online audience within the Australian telecommunications industry, attracting an average of 1.8million unique visitors per week. The Telstra.com site has a massive role – to provide self-service capability throughout all stages of a customer’s journey. It’s critical that the site ensures customers can do what they set out to. The challenge we faced was feedback on poor navigation and customers who told us “I can’t find what I’m looking for” or “make it easier to do…”. Our response was ambitious; we decided to completely redesign our Information Architecture(IA) which aligned with our shifting company culture from centering around internal process, to putting customer needs first. We made the bold move to go from content grouped around product (which presented too many options), to a task-oriented approach where the customer is progressively guided to our products/services based on common tasks e.g. “I’ve come to Telstra.com to; ‘Explore’, ‘Shop’; get ‘Support’; or service ‘My Account’”. At the same time, we dramatically redesigned the look of the site, giving it a fresh, modern feel that provided consistency and familiarity across our digital properties. In short, as a market leader, we decided to lead the way.

Digital Experience - Website

HealthKit - HealthKit / Wink Brand Design

Digital Experience - Website

Company founder Alison Hardacre says when HealthKit commissioned Wink Brand Design to develop the Healthkit brand and bring to life their goals they were a long way from achieving that ambition. They had developed a platform for doctors and patients in Australia called Specialist Link (www.specialistlink.com.au) and had proven that a platform of practice management software for doctors and health practitioners of all types and services provided directly to patients works. But to move to a global model they had to completely change absolutely everything about their whole service and business: their name and URL would have to change, their whole technology and software base would have to be re-written to enable it to be used in any health system, their customer service would have to be accessible globally and their branding had to reflect this new direction.

The ACMA Website - Australian Communication & Media Authority, media.comms / Aer Design

The Australian Communications and Media Authority are the government regulators of broadcasting, the internet, radiocommunications and telecommunications. Sixtree - Sixtree / Evolution 7

Digital Experience - Website

We were engaged by Sixtree to redevelop their visual identity, and to revamp their online presence to showcase Sixtree’s experience, knowledge, and service offerings. This process involved close collaboration between Sixtree and Evolution 7's design team, getting to the core of who Sixtree is and what they're about. Bold decisions taken with typography and colour lead to the development of a striking identity - and one that now represents who Sixtree is. The launch of the identity coincided with our launch of an interim website featuring the new identity and vision for the brand, while we continued our work with Sixtree to develop their new website. The subsequent launch of Sixtree’s new website delivers the vision of a unique and distinctive company stepping up as leaders in their field. Sixtree is now able to feature the full range of services offered, introduce users to the Sixtree team, and showcase the depth and breadth of the knowledge and expertise of the team through articles and blog posts. With deep social media integration and highlighting activity on Twitter and Linked In, users are presented with a number of ways to engage with Sixtree.
