Deloitte, and the Victorian Department of Health digital services and strategy team, released V2 of the Better Health Channel mobile app to provide the full compliment of health information from the Better Health Channel, helping health consumers make more informed, timely and confident health decisions. The V2 app aims to help all Victorians remain as healthy as they can be, through a range of new features including healthy recipes and customisable environmental health alerts and notifications.

Girls Gotta Know iPhone App - Women's Legal Service Tasmania / Kontrast Design

Young people are notoriously difficult to connect with especially when trying to provide them with legal information. A beautifully designed, user friendly app was the best choice Women’s Legal Service Tasmania could have made in targeting this age group.  Girls Gotta Know is a free app created to provide young Tasmanian women between the ages of 14 and 24, quick access to essential legal information on a range of practical topics. The app provides easy to understand legal information on housing, employment, partying, relationships, money and general topics.

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week iPhone App - City of Melbourne / Outware Mobile

Outware Mobile designed and built the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) app for the City of Melbourne in 2012. The MSFW app provided patrons with event details, maps, an integrated mobile and retail shopping experience and access to designer information as well as event specific promotions. The main objective of the app was to enhance the MSFW experience. The use of QR codes in the Look Stop Shop feature facilitates engagement between retailers and patrons by providing users with access to exclusive offers and encouraging them to explore Melbourne’s unique fashion scene. The app also provides event details to the entire program for MSFW, including directions to event venues, ticketing information and social media integration. The app promoted MSFW to a broad audience, while also encouraging user engagement online across various social platforms.

Snap Send Solve - Outware Mobile

Snap Send Solve is the free app used by over 50,000 people around Australia to report issues directly to the appropriate council or service provider. Snap Send Solve is as simple to use as its name. Users take a photo of the problem, send a report with details of the location and the problem is solved by the appropriate authority for that area. The success of Snap Send Solve is due to its simplicity and the benefits to both the general public and local service providers.

JHC StoryPod (Mobile Application) - Jewish Holocaust Centre Inc. / Philology Pty. Ltd.

The Jewish Holocaust Centre believes that the finest memorial to all victims of racist policies are educational programs and initiatives which aim to combat anti-Semitism, racism and prejudice in the community and to foster understanding between people. The JHC Storypod mobile application features the inspiring true life stories of Holocaust survivors who volunteer as museum guides at the Jewish Holocaust Centre (JHC) in Melbourne, Australia. The JHC StoryPod mobile application allows the user to explore the photographs, artifacts, testimony, and personal life stories of Holocaust survivors in a manner that engages, educates and inspires. The mobile application is being used as a new component of the JHC's overall educational programs designed for schools.

The app features over one hundred nifty reviews, accompanied by beautiful photography and simple, clear functionality. The “nearby” function guarantees the ultimate mobile experience – no matter where you are, we’ll show you where to find your closest breakfast hot spots. The GPS support means the app is always local, always relevant and new content is automatically downloaded straight to your device. The “browse suburb” map feature also allows you to explore different parts of the city via a purpose-built, integrated map.
