Melbourne Design Awards

As part of the global City Design Awards program, the Melbourne Design Awards celebrate creativity, courage and innovation in design. Providing a central hub for marketplace recognition, the Awards are open to all participants in the design process with a presence or exposure in the Melbourne region be they commissioners, creators, suppliers, promoters or purveyors of design.

Melbourne has its own design focus and culture– the [city] design awards program provides a unique opportunity for a city’s design community to join together in celebrating their design diversity and the city’s top designers and commissioners.

Launched in 2010, the Melbourne Design Awards was the first of the [city] design awards programs and has secured a reputation as one the leading design recognition and growth platforms.leading the way.

Bates Smart to Refurbish Melbourne’s 1928 T&G Building

Bates Smart’s design for the refurbishment of Melbourne’s 1928 T&G building at the “Paris end” of Collins Street has been revealed. Renovations of the National Trust-listed building include a new dual entrance, which will give occupiers the option of using the original entry on Collins Street or the newly pedestrianized laneway, Ramsden Place, which connects to Flinders Lane.
