Since the interior height of two floors up to ten meters. The design strategy is to create three low display box, providing some special exhibition customized setting to diversification use. Sliding interfaces are inserted between each unit space, so these interfaces are created in order to provide diverse utilities for exhibition. Meanwhile, the strategy which reduces the height in the space is to cover AC equipment. Furthermore, via reducing the height, it is created a contrast between atrium space. The aim of creating the space is that we attempt to make differences and visual tension.

Visitors will pass through different historical periods photograph, image data fully aware of the world of literature presented in Jia Ping-wa era mood and based on the spirit of its literature ultimate concern for human exploration and thought.

Sustainability

The architectural design derives from Jia Ping-wa’s honest and reserved personality and also the cultural conflictions in his literature. It is a “ho-yuan” architecture descripted by contemporary terms as simple, hale and generous. The outer buildings are built with yellow-grey stones; a traditional style in the central shaanxi plain. Through sanding and scratching, the building is filled with a sense of deep history and, at the same time, reveals some contemporary atmosphere. Furthermore, we use a lot of timber materials in the interior to construct the space with warm textures and colors. It reflects Jia Ping-wa’s feeling for the change of village culture. Some parts have materials of darker colors or metals in order to increase tone and gradation in the space.
