Project Brief

Without following the mainstream that uses luxurious construction materials, the designer focuses on creating space characteristics and customizing functionalities. The integral but distinctive light and shadow communicate with compatible materials, the arrangement unveiling the residents’ warm and memory cohering with one another.
Because the integrated space at the porch, where we can see the open public space with direct visual to the living room, the designer makes a screen shelves screen on which painted with fishes and aquatic plants. The deformed bars functions as supportive structure and the two-layer water tank recycles air conditioning and reverse osmosis water, the green energy saving mechanism that takes into considerations of greenery, vitality, and transparency.

Project Need

The walls in the open dining space, from the main door to kitchen, next to the main door is covered by corroded iron plates, on which the rusty stains is intriguing. The reflective effect, from the back reflective appliances, makes the kitchen intangible.

Design Challenge

Considering the family members, the designer spares one room and remodels it as a multi-functional resting area, expanding the public area. The elevated floor and glass sliding doors optimizes the space flexibility. The TV wall has become a partition wall which introduces daylight in the residence when receiving sliding doors. When pulling out the sliding doors, the family members can keep the room private. Such flexibility can be hardly seen elsewhere. The brilliant skills can be seen by building up a middle aisle with dark ceiling bypassing the biggest beam column, and this is the design making the space larger.

Sustainability

The main bedroom and kids’ room are built at the end of the aisle decorated with white bricks. The black floor, in the main bedroom, is far beyond imagination. The white and purple triangular patterns on the wall, the splendid neon light, and the bathroom furnished with glass and line curtain, fill the charms of modern hotel style.
