Thanks to the latest RIMOWA innovation, travelers can now use their mobile device to check in their RIMOWA Electronic Tag enabled case from the convenience of their own home, and drop it off within seconds at the airport.

Project Brief

The RIMOWA Electronic Tag is the first digital, fully integrated check-in solution. Based on digital technology that is incorporated directly into select cases, the RIMOWA Electronic Tag replaces the usual paper checked bag label with a digital data module that improves accuracy and decreases stress.

Project Innovation/Need

The faceplate of theE Ink Mobius® display is made of tried-and-tested Gorilla® Glass which is 4 times thicker and 10 times stronger than your average iPhone screen.

The strength of the frame is not compromised by the insertion of the module, which is made of polycarbonate.

Travel information is protected from the elements and secure from rips, smudges, detachment and tears.

The only time that the power is used is while transmitting data. The data will be permanently displayed until the module is reset, even without an energy supply.
Two AAA alkaline batteries are required for use, conveniently accessible anywhere in the world.
