Project Brief

VIP Packaging had its origins in VISY and now stands apart as a separate brand and business, and a direct competitor to VISY. Our brief was to make VIP stand out by breaking category conventions and reflect the innovative and sustainable business it has become. The new brand identity truly underpins its positioning of 'Shaping Tomorrow'.

Project Need

Standing apart from others and leading the industry means doing and looking at things differently. To this end we took a different approach with the identity and created a dynamic family of logos which featured a consistent vip wordmark married to a portfolio of vibrant photographic objects. Each of the object reflects one of VIPs key values or personality traits. It is intended for the eight logos to be used interchangeably on communications.

Design Challenge

Creating an identity that truly reflected the innovative nature of VIP and then creating it in a constrained budget.

A specific design challenge was creating the wow factor and dynamic shape required for the 'Dynamism' splash photograph. It was shot in the studio using thrown blue paint, high speed cameras and lots of plastic sheeting. In the end it was composed from 5 individual shots. A great result and labour of love.

Sustainability

All VIP collateral is printed on environmentally responsible stock.
