Project Brief

The Global Garden’s of Peace are an NGO that has been set up to deliver gardens funded by the Australian people for under privileged communities. To create peaceful, safe and serene environments where children and their families can rest, heal and enjoy these sanctuaries together. With the first being developed in Gaza aptly name ‘Moira’s Garden’.

Project Need

The identity was designed create a mark that expressed these themes of community, culture and care, through drawing on the symbolic image of an adult holding a child’s hand.

Design Challenge

The identity is grounded by the values of the organisation, as well as giving recognition to Moira through the form which resembles an ‘M’. To capture the nuance of the garden theme, the symbol is manifested through use of forms that are homogeneous with the leaves of plants. Then employing a natural Australian colour palette to link the idea to the origin of the organisation.

Sustainability

Printed on environmentally friendly stocks and minimising the number of inks used via the use of tints, the stationery helps embody the natural spirit of the organisation whilst remaining fresh and approachable.
