Apical Office Fit-Out - APICAL INTERNATIONAL Pty. Ltd. / Duckbuild Architecture

Interior Design - Corporate

- Winner

Duckbuild was presented with the difficult challenge of reinvigorating and breathing new life into this existing small office space – with a budget that some large corporations might blow on the reception desk alone! We mixed the owner’s love for colour with our interpretation of the word ‘Apical’ (from the latin ‘apex’) to produce an incendiary concoction that explodes from the entryway with a riot of colourful triangles, running up the walls onto glass and across the ceiling, playfully energising the space – without blowing up the budget.

Welcome to the iconic Facebook head office … a space that every designer dreams of creating, a space that has quickly set a precedence amongst the international Facebook design standards, and we'll soon show you why ...

Fitout for Birkenstock Australia Headquarters - Birkenstock Australia / Melbourne Design Studios

Interior Design - Corporate

Finalist

The Fitout for Birkenstock Australia Headquarters is designed to create a healthy work environment, based on sustainable architecture. It is part of the overall creation of the new Headquarter premises for Birkenstock Australia in inner urban Melbourne - see our entry under ‘Mixed Use Architecture - Constructed’. The project won a Melbourne Design Award for unbuilt work last year, while it was all still in the making. So we thought we should put it to the test, now that it is finished and our clients have moved in. And you know what ? I think it's come up as the most beautiful headquarter premises and fitout project not only in Melbourne, but probably all over Australia. What do you think?

Aurecon Melbourne - Aurecon / Geyer

Interior Design - Corporate

Finalist

Following the development of a workplace strategy and guidelines document describing Aurecon environments in Australia, Asia and New Zealand, Geyer helped Aurecon select a site and designed their Melbourne accommodation. Aurecon’s workplace comprises 4.5 floors within the C7 Development at 850 Collins Street and is home to over 700 employees. The workplace offers the opportunity to align the environment with their global business strategy and Aurecon’s brand, improve productivity and reduce operating costs. The design demonstrates that Aurecon are leaders in Sustainability by targeting a 5 Star Green Star Fit out and Office As Built Rating and immerses clients in a vibrant, open, collaborative environment. The resulting fit out successfully represents a contemporary, innovative organisation that is a leader in their field.
