Interactive Media Industry Association AIMIA SA, in collaboration with The Advertiser, has launched the inaugural South Australian Interactive Media Excellence Awards to provide a showcase for the State’s success stories in the fast growing interactive media industry.

AIMIA SA President Grant Hull says the SAimX Awards are designed to promote and encourage excellence in an industry that underpins the information economy.

“South Australia has an extraordinary depth and breadth of talent in digital and interactive media, our solutions have a local, national and international impact, yet we have never had a local awards scheme based entirely in SA for this sector,” Hull said.

"The benefits will be increased profile and access to decision makers and power brokers of the industry – and of course a very nice trophy."

Four awards will be presented across four categories: Business & Ecommerce; Lifestyle & Entertainment; Science, Environment, Health, & Medicine; and Government, Education & Non-profit. The categories for entry are very broad to maximize participation. Delivery platforms can include the full gamut from web and mobile to games console or cinema screen.

“The Advertiser is proud to partner with AIMIA to deliver the inaugural SAimX awards," Guy Turner said on behalf of The Advertiser.  "These awards reflect our commitment to supporting and recognising  South Australian creativity and innovation.”

The Judges will be assessing:
•Is it fit for purpose?
•Did the customers like it?
•Are there any metrics around success?
•Is it innovative?

•Does it have an easy, pleasant to use, user interface?
•Does it show effective use of digital media technology?
Important Dates:

Applications Close: 17th October COB
Awards Ceremony: 13th November
