In the past, most of the apartments in the city are built according to the original space configurations. Nowadays, however, most spaces cannot meet the requirements in real life. This project is the 30-pin residence where lives a single lady. Because the client is living alone, the original configuration is remodeled so that the new interior design can meet the client’s life style.

Project Brief
The interior public space is constituted by big and small porches, living room, dining room, opened kitchen, and working area. The three arch-sequential round planes, from small to large, guide the space from porch to living room. A large storage space is hidden in the wooden veneer wall, which sufficient utilizes the space between the square and round configuration. Such design, in the meantime, creates the comfortable reception atmosphere. The other side of the wall, at the porch, is furnished with floor mirrors, where is available for yoga exercise in addition to the function leading people in the room.
Project Need
This project in concentrated on the design for living room, where the white arch couch, grey-mirror wall, red oil paintings, and the painting of sky on the round ceiling, transform the bright daytime space into a lounge area at night, the design presenting the duality with distinct styles.
Design Challenge
Lily, the lady’s name, is used for designing the swift TV wall, which functions as the boundary between the living room and dining room. The spaces are rearranged efficiently by means of the light-food bar extended from the wall, and of the multiple functions in public area.
Sustainability
In the main bedroom, the exotic atmosphere is created by furnishing with mirror ceiling, cow-leather carpet, and leather walls. The double-layered windowsill creates a lounge couch embedded with hidden storage space, the design meeting the major requirements from the client. By means of elaborate interchanging the different materials and mechanisms, the designer built the residence into a place with memorable stories.
