Project Overview
This project is about a restaurant that is designed based on the ideas coming from the movie “The Chronicles of Narnia.” The ideas of design, from the perspective of building façade and interior design, have constituted the image of this restaurant by the style of Gothic architecture. Guo-Bin Sie, the designer of this restaurant, adjusts the outlooks and streets scales based on the original infrastructure of this building, demonstrating the subject of this restaurant while taking into considerations the visions of the city.

Project Brief
n Narnia, Yuanlin Branch, the contemporary simplicity is of the design style, which corresponds to the Italian food that makes the interior space and flavor the complements to each other, the design satisfying the demands for visual and taste from the customers. Guo-Bin Sie, the designer of this restaurant, is appreciate to his client, who encourages him to express his talents of interior design in full play without restrictions, no matter from the issues of sitting tables to style of design. This is the reason that he achieves greatness in this restaurant, Narnia.
Project Need
In the restaurant, the tall ceiling and the curtain lines chandelier played as the role of introduction, telling guests how to appreciate the fantastic designs completely by means of lightings. The ribbed vaults, one of Gothic architecture features, represent the major symbol in the space.
Design Challenge
The most amazing part, of this restaurant, is indicated by the entrance, where the mosaic pavements, with the elements of abundant variations, of the twelve signs on the floor, the design making an artistically beautiful environment which displays the delicate and luxuriant romantic atmosphere which implements variable features by means of the mosaic materials.
Sustainability
The decorations of ironworks, glass, and mosaic are ingeniously implemented in the restaurant which is built as a fantasy scene in the movie, the design skills making every customers feels as if living in a dreamlike European architecture.

Open to all international projects this award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
