Because of the big dining area, the project is designed into a restaurant having different styles in different areas. The service space, including the kitchen, storage room, rest rooms, etc., are located on the first floor, and this is why no integral design for the dining and playing area.

Project Brief
Because of the booming economic growth in modern world, more people are used to go out eating than those cooking at home, and this is the reason that the kids’ friendly restaurants are rarely seen. This project is a kids’ friendly restaurant which is designed mainly for those from babies and eight-year-old children. The large space in the first floor and basement, which account for 120 square footage, has become a safe place where children can enjoy running and have fun when people are eating in the meantime. With a lot of entertaining facilities, delicious foods, and the delicate design, the restaurant means more than a place for eating, and it functions as an interesting playground as well.
Project Need
With the design of blue sky, forest, and stone-style pillows, the design installing a log slide on the first floor makes children feel as if playing in the fairy tale.
By designing the playing area a place with different entertaining facilities and wall paintings, the dinner hours can become the moment for children searching and exploring their future.
Design Challenge
The basement is the place for dining and playing areas in different styles. In the major dining area, the amiable and vibrant atmosphere is created by furnishing with dining chairs in red, white and blue, the green-and-white wall, and light-color wooden tables.
Sustainability
Along with the ordering stone bar and grey working area, the designer furnishes the dining area with white cultural stones and herringbone wooden floor, the design creating a simple and happy atmosphere, by offering all kinds of toys and drop ornaments meanwhile.

Open to all international projects this award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
