Project Brief

With the inner space around only sixty square meters, the designer tore down all old layout and restored to original, basic outline. Low privacy necessity for a single household increases the flexibility of functional arrangement by leading the sunlight and greenery into all spaces.
Furthermore, the location of the building surrounded by mountains, the place in which reduces the barrier and reactivates the air convection, decreases the reliance on air conditioning and lamp. The goal of energy saving, environmental protection, and loving the earth can be reached ultimately.

Project Need

The minor privacy and open configuration are no doubt the best logic maximizing the space. The dark grey art stones, made as TV wall, strengthen the materials features and contrast by using white seams. The bedside wall in the bedroom is used the same materials. The wide living room and romantic dining room, decorated with large windows, which enable everyone to see the scenery everywhere inside the house. The large living room; study room; dining room; bedroom; bathroom, yearned from the owner, can be used overlapped flexibly in the whole configuration that makes a perfect residence into completion.

Design Challenge

Instead of stalling the standard porch at the entrance, there is a wooden cabinet constructed with a flat and continuous wall. The design of the wall integrates the mechanisms of shoes cabinet, wardrobe, and deck locker. There is a comfortable wall bed at the end of the wall. The neat and tidy order; the warm wood grains connected to the floor, bring the soft and gentle touch to the space that corresponds to the green field outside the window. There are complex and ingenuous ideas which make life more comfortable in the building.

Sustainability

The goal of energy saving, environmental protection, and loving the earth can be reached ultimately.
The bathroom on the corner reveals the scales of the space freedom. The designer makes the wash basin outside the bathroom. The back side of the bathroom mirror, hung by iron items, is mosaicked into a colorful painting, the design which both maintains the looming aesthetics and partitions the space. There is a 90-degree double shower curtain on the edge of the bathroom, the curtain that keeps privacy when necessary. The glass compartment is used as a shower area. The wall is processed by color flash with art stones and cement polishing materials, the process making simple temperature to dote on body and mind.
