2016 is the tenth birthday of the Sydney Architecture Festival. For ten years the Festival has celebrated design, architecture and the built environment through events, talks, tours and exhibitions, and aims to connect people to place by transforming their experience of architecture and design.
As well as celebrating all things Sydney, architecture and design, the Festival is about fostering a better understanding of what is good architecture, and its role in achieving a sustainable, healthy and culturally rich built environment.
The Festival creates opportunities to develop partnerships between organisations that are engaged in the business of making great spaces and places through architecture.
The NSW Architects Registration Board also promotes an understanding of architecture in the community by funding research, hosting talks and forums and partnering with organisations on projects relevant to increasing the public's understanding of architectural issues.
