Project Brief

With the eFax mobile app users can send and receive faxes on the go! eFax lets you eliminate the cost and inconvenience of fax machines and phone lines. Other app features include applying digitized signatures, keyword search, text editing, adding cover sheets and PDF export.

Project Need

This app was designed to make it possible to receive, sign and send faxes from anywhere. No fax machines required! It facilitates business users requiring access to their faxes while out of the office.

User Experience

Users are given access to app functionality as soon as possible after minimal registration. Fax pages are displayed as quickly using pre-fetch and cache logic. The app is designed in a minimalist fashion to eliminate fluff and therefore customers only see information that is useful. The user's content is key and the app's design showcases it in a clean, unobtrusive way.

The Signup experience was designed to be as fast as possible. It contains only one screen which shows the reserved fax number and the entry field for the user's email address for fax delivery. The email address is pre-filled in with the device configured address to decrease misspelling and data entry friction.

Once the account is created the user is automatically signed in to eFax. They can share their new fax number with their clients and begin to receive faxes on the go.

Project Marketing

We engage the customer by providing them as much value as possible as quickly as possible. Users are given a free account to get started. Later they have the option of choosing to upgrade to a paid account, which allows them access to more features.

Project Privacy

Our Privacy Policy and Customer Agreement forms are displayed clearly on the Sign-up screen and on the eFax website.
