The Milk Music team employed a user-centered design process with design inspiration drawn from terrestrial radio dials. Many different designs were considered in the design process, with variations in visual design, interaction design, and information architecture. Ultimately, the final design was a result of numerous iterations based on extensive user feedback.

Project Marketing

Milk Music's marketing strategy aims at appealing to customers who are dissatisfied with current music services as well as those who haven't yet engaged in mobile music. Customer pain points such as ads, paid services, and cumbersome interfaces are addressed by Milk's free radio service that offers no ads and an easy-to-use dial interface. Milk customers instantly hear music they love through the dial interface, create their own stations, and listen to over 200 genre stations, curated from a music library of over 13 million songs.
