Project Brief
• join.me's the fastest growing online collaboration solution on the market. Its mission is to simplify the way people connect and get work together. Its user experience and design philosophy have led to rapid adoption, and uses cases developed by users have helped redefine the category and dramatically changed expectations when it comes to online collaboration. Tens of millions of business professionals and well over 150,000 businesses are using join.me; in fact, 90% of the Fortune 500 uses join.me.
• The application recently underwent a complete mobile makeover with the debut of a new app for Apple Watch and a major update to join.me’s iPhone app to introduce join.me’s One Touch Meeting capability - a slick and simple way to start a meeting, scheduled or on-the-fly, with the simple touch of a button.
• In addition, a re-envisioned join.me app for the iPad introduced the join.me Mobile Whiteboard, a fresh twist on the tried-and-true collaboration tool. The refreshed iOS portfolio is part of join.me’s unique approach to mobile-first collaboration.
• Finally, join.me recently introduced a fresh, new approach to chatting, meeting and collaborating via video. In keeping with join.me’s simple, lightweight and fun user experience, individual video feeds take the form of bubbles which can be manipulated and moved – even bounced -- around the screen by meeting participants.
• The platform leverages HTML5 and WebRTC. This, coupled with join.me’s signature speed, allows meetings to start within seconds without requiring attendees to download anything to join.

• Like web conferencing and virtual meetings, the ways we meet in real life – both on and offline – have changed. That’s what makes join.me so relevant and innovative in the first place. It helps solve the need for quick, ad-hoc, and instant collaboration.
• join.me’s dramatic new mobile capabilities – One Touch Meetings, mobile whiteboarding and video – allow users to truly have a flexible workplace and schedule. join.me allows users to easily have meetings anywhere at any time.
• In keeping with join.me’s simple, lightweight and fun user experience, join.me video feeds take the form of bubbles, which can be manipulated and moved – even bounced -- around the screen by meeting participants. It can be used to have video-only calls, chats, and meetings; or it can be used in conjunction with join.me’s signature simple screen sharing capability. In keeping with the freemium model, users of join.me can video conference with up to five people, free of charge.

User Experience
• Renowned for its speed and simplicity, join.me’s ease of use is the most important engagement element of join.me and the key reason join.me has been so widely adopted. Cost, plug-in downloads and lengthy registration forms all have presented unnecessary hurdles to both adoption and widespread usage of traditional online meeting products. join.me has removed these meeting/collaboration barriers with its relentless focus on join.me’s design and philosophy around simplicity.
• join.me builds for the viewer – someone that might not be tech-savvy, or might never have used join.me before – is something that’s differentiated join.me from its competition from the beginning. It is the single biggest driver of revenue growth for LogMeIn, overall, and is the company’s fastest growing product in terms of revenue.
• From a UX and go-to-market strategy, join.me is more in line with next-gen collaboration and productivity apps rather than classic meeting and conferencing tools. These next-gen tools also offer a free option and join.me is seeing more and more how this is becoming the modern norm.
• With its ease of implementation and use, first time join.me users are more apt to schedule future meetings using join.me.
Project Privacy
• While the current acceptable standard is 128-bit SSL (Security Socket Layer) encryption for sending and receiving sensitive information, join.me doubles users’ data protection with 256-bit SSL encryption, treating their data as securely as your bank account.
• With join.me pro, users have the added security option of using the meeting lock. When it’s on, participants have to knock to join meetings, so hosts know exactly who is joining meetings.
• When choosing not to use a custom meeting link (available with pro), join.me supplies a random code assigned to each meeting for a secure screen sharing connection. With the meeting code changing every time, users don’t have to worry about any uninvited guests.
• No images, files, or data shared during meetings are stored on join.me servers. Data stored in Cubby, join.me’s companion storage platform, is encrypted on the client side and requires a password to access.
