Project Overview
By answering more than five billion calls for its users, YouMail has become a leader in intelligent telephony services for personal and business use. Phone calls are important, but it’s not possible to answer every call, and it’s hard to decipher who’s an important caller vs. an unwanted caller. With YouMail, phone calls are answered by its smart greeting system that automatically addresses callers by name, converts voicemail to email, and blocks robocallers. This allows users to focus on important calls, read voice messages at their convenience, and save hours of time and stress dealing with unwanted callers.

Project Brief
More smart phone users are ignoring their voicemails today because it can be a tedious process to dial in, listen to each message, and reply back in a timely manner. YouMail serves as a digital assistant that helps users increase productivity and be more efficient in managing voice messages. YouMail transcribes messages into text, and then sends them as emails to users, so they only have to spend a few minutes reading them. YouMail’s unified inbox feature combines voicemails from multiple devices into one inbox, so users can read all of their voicemails from a single inbox -- on their phone, tablet or desktop.
YouMail improves caller care, privacy and productivity, through innovative features such as visual caller ID, automated caller blocking, personalized smart greetings, automatic replies, cloud storage, multi-platform access to messages, call routing, and more. YouMail’s flexibility allows all users–from consumers to CEOs–manage their personal and professional communications. YouMail’s consumer survey revealed that up to 15% of missed telephone calls are considered “spam” by their recipients. By using YouMail to block robocalls and prioritize calls from friends, family, and business associates, smartphone users can avoid wasting time on spam phone calls.
Project Need
YouMail is the only solution to make innovations for personal productivity by combining an automated voice message assistant and call blocking into a single smartphone app. YouMail’s bulk voicemail downloading feature downloads multiple messages as a .ZIP file. Its unified inbox feature takes missed calls and messages from multiple devices and directs them into one inbox. With these two features, users don’t have to worry about checking multiple devices for voice messages. YouMail lets users carbon copy messages to another email address, allowing busy people to forward their calls to another colleague for delegation. YouMail’s “auto-reply with business card” feature lets professionals respond automatically when they can’t get to the phone, and serves as an after-hours answering service. YouMail data shows that 93% of subscribers save 3-5 hours a week through improved management of phone calls and voicemails.
YouMail’s Smart Blocking technology is a major breakthrough for the voice services industry since it identifies robocallers and lets users block spam phone calls. YouMail’s Smart Blocking leverages its huge volume of incoming calls each day to rapidly determine that an incoming number is a spammer placing unwanted calls.
