Project Brief

Bailey is positioned squarely in the highly competitive luxury category; all collateral, especially brochures had reflect quality, provenance and enduring global style.

Project Innovation/Need

Because of the quality of materials used and the craftsmanship involved, each item in Bailey’s collections represents a considerable investment. Consumers considering Bailey are shopping across the world’s most elite and revered brands in the bedding and linen sector. This brand is about the feel and experience of fine fabrics and beautiful textures. To truly communicate these messages we thought carefully about paper stocks and embellishments. Countless considered subtleties have been applied to ensure the brochure is as beautiful to the touch as it is to the eye. Open stitch binding softly delineates sections; pages fall open naturally at each collection. A fabric tag fixed into the spine references the product and creates a further point of difference for this printed piece. Bailey is a world populated by artisans, craftspeople and connoisseurs. This is reflected in the photography, design and storytelling applied throughout.

Design Challenge

Ensuring that the integrity of the design remained throughout the production and delivery process. Making sure the finishes were seamless, in particular the fabric tag in the spine, which is one of its biggest points of difference. There were multiple embellishment tests run before final production. Achieving colour accuracy across photography was also very important to present the product in its truest form.

Effectiveness

The brochure is scheduled for launch October 15 2015. The effectiveness of the outcome will be reviewed after this time.
