A Golden Era - Palais Theatre tender

Silver

Project Overview

Kinc Agency was selected by iconic Australian venue, Palais Theatre, after meeting them at the Small Business Awards to design their official tender. The management company wanted to produce a tender document that was characteristic of the Palais Theatre so they could renew their tender with the Palais Theatre.

Project Brief

The design we were required to work on was to capture the essence of a much loved popular venue and translate its spirit into an official document. We were invited to a special backstage tour at the Palais Theatre to familiarise ourselves with its brand and its audience.

Project Innovation/Need

Creative was based on the evolution of the Palais Theatre - from the carved detailing in the door handles, the balconies and wall panelling we sought to create something with emotional ties with the physical venue. We put the tender together in a way that was directly reflective of the style and character of the theatre.

Design Challenge

The biggest obstacle that arose in this project was the sourcing a high quality material in a small print run that could be produced in a short turnaround time. We wanted be sure that the character of the brand was reflected in the design in the tender. We needed to find a balance between showcasing the brand's heritage, reviving its name and doing so in a way that would be appropriate in a corporate setting.

Effectiveness

Our tender was successful and the management company that was managing Palais Theatre extended their management term of the Palais Theatre.
