The simple design is based on the form of a penguin. The penguin is clear and gains it's traditional black and white color by being filled with salt & pepper.
Project Innovation/Need
The project's innovation is the ability to rotate the penguin's beak to switch from salt to pepper.
Design Challenge
The creative challenge was to maintain the penguins form while making a functional Salt & pepper shaker.
Sustainability
Pinguino can be made from recycled polypropylene.
Product Design - Concept
This award celebrates creativity and innovation for either a product design at conceptual stage - an early sample or model of a product that has not reached the manufacture stage nor available to the market.
