Project Overview

Launched in March 2013, the new realestate.com.au mobile website offers a fresh look and feel, simpler and more efficient ways to search and find properties, and makes it easier to contact an agent, share properties with family and friends, or save properties as a favourite, synched across all touch points - mobile, website, app and the main realestate.com.au site.

The realestate.com.au mobile website has achieved an increase in average monthly visits of around 60% over the past 12 months and consumer engagement with the site has increased significantly.

Project Brief

As the market leading real estate site in Australia, expanding realestate.com.au into the mobile world was a mandate of necessity. Our mantra is now ‘mobile first’ meaning we launch innovations for mobile devices first, then for the website.

With mobile traffic to realestate.com.au nearing 50% of total traffic, we were keen to ensure our mobile site offered the same – if not better - value to consumers, advertising customers and property owners as our desktop site.

Project Need

realestate.com.au’s new m.site was launched in March 2013 and delivers an enhanced consumer, experience, a new user interface, and new technical infrastructure that enables us to launch upgrades and enhancements more quickly. The ability to move quickly means we can launch new products faster and learn from actual behaviour to iterate or innovate continuously.

User Experience

Visitors to the new realestate.com.au mobile website see a fresh look and feel, simpler and more efficient ways to search and find properties, and can more easily contact an agent, share the property with family and friends, or save the property as a favourite in their account, which is synched to the main realestate.com.au site.

User engagement with the site has increased significantly – consumers are viewing properties and photos, contacting agents and saving and sharing properties more than ever before.

Project Marketing

The new realestate.com.au mobile website was launched in March 2013.

Consumers accessing realestate.com.au via their mobile phone were automatically directed to the new mobile website and the mobile site, as part of our mobile product range, was supported by our Autumn marketing campaign.
