This app facilitates a new way of selling home loans, and provides a fresh, interactive sales experience, utilising the iPad as an innovative and interactive sales tool.

Lenders and brokers no longer need a laptop and paper based brochures when visiting a client. The iPad app provides content, calculations and scenario analysis. It’s easy for the lender to share the iPad with customers and demonstrate options, making an inclusive and interactive sales experience.

The app simplifies and standardises a meeting at the client’s home or workplace, and empowers lenders to answer questions on the spot.

Project Brief

The Mobile Lender/Broker iPad app provides a better sales experience, by utilising an innovative tool that offers a strong visual interface, facilitates sharing with customers, and scenario analysis.

The app is a complete tool providing all the content to support Lenders and Brokers when visiting existing or potential customers in their homes or workplaces. By giving Lenders and Brokers all the information they require, they are able to confidently answer questions on the spot, and convert potential leads through to applications more quickly.

It replaces the need for manual calculations and paper based documentation. All the information contained in the application is up to the minute.

Project Innovation / Need

The Mobile Lender/broker toolkit provides a consistent and coordinated approach containing all the tools a lender needs during their initial customer interview.

Importantly, by utilising an iPad to promote interaction and make use of the strong graphics capability, we have changed the sales experience, and made it easy for the lender and customer to jointly explore different scenarios.

Prior to the app, the following issues were faced by Mobile Lenders:

• Technology - laptops were issued as the standard tool of trade, which can take considerable time to start up and don’t integrate well with a customer interview.

• Lack of tools and support materials during a customer interview
• Inconsistent approach
• Difficult to answer all questions on the spot

The lender toolkit offers a range of tools the Lender will need to answer customer questions, perform calculations and simulate home loan scenarios.

The toolkit includes:
• Range of calculators covering all common scenarios
• Handy needs based selector tools
• Links to live interest rates and fees
• Product and process information to enable questions to be answered on the spot
• Brochures which can be emailed from the app through to customers

User Experience

The Mobile Lender/Broker iPad application provides a simple interface that takes advantage of the iPad functionality and graphics capability to present information in a way that the Lender/Broker can easily demonstrate and share with clients. This is a great tool for Lenders/Brokers to use in a client’s home or office.

It provides all the tools of the trade that they need to assist the customer in making an important decision about choosing the right home loan.
