Project Brief
The owner wants to get rid of the heaviness brought by surrounded ancient china atmosphere. In the meantime, the owner is seeking the elegant and simplified European style, without falling into duplicated standard. Therefore, the designer chooses the combination of European style and ART DECO, a style which presents a breakthrough.
Project Need
The object of this project is located on the third floor of a new mall constructed nearby the ancient Xi’an city. The space accounts for 1,300 square meters. The owner wants to get rid of the heaviness brought by surrounded ancient china atmosphere. In the meantime, the owner is seeking the elegant and simplified European style, without falling into duplicated standard.
Design Challenge
After tearing down the rear sector and hallway on the first floor, there are three parts made into the whole restaurant, the areas including transparent hallway, wide lobby, and warm boxes. Despite a 1- square meters structural column and 3.5-meters height ceiling make the restrictions, the elevated space and the depth of the field make customers feel brighter after the massive electricity reconstruction. And the improvement meets the requirements from the owner.

Location: Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province
Space: 1,300 square meters
Allocations: Three floors in the same building, which includes lobby, VIP area, bar, cashier, office, and bathroom.
Total Budget: 1,500 million RMB

Open to all international projects this award celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Consideration also given to space allocation, traffic flow, building services, lighting, fixtures, flooring, colours, furnishings and surface finishes.
