Project Brief

Golden Harvest Fanling is a boutique cinema, it has been designed with an exciting and lively mood. We have used a raw styling technique to package the cinema, by infusing bold characteristics and materials such as bright neon signage on the facade, special signage filled with light bulbs and surrounded the interior with back lit lights

We have really exaggerated the look of this cinema by giving it a rebirth, from something that started off dull and boring to a whole new, lively and exciting cinema. This is a one and only design with an individual character that catches your attention from the moment you step inside.

Project Innovation/Need

The cinema has its own character, we have focused on creating a bold and distinctive statement rather than the traditional dark and mysterious-look because we want the customers to feel excited whilst looking forward to watching their chosen film.

Design Challenge

With limited space we chose to use raw and industrial materials to make the interior exposed as this helps enhance the space. With a lively entrance and lobby, we have decided to keep the houses simple but also keeping the exposure-look by using concrete materials.

Sustainability

Throughout this interior we have used LED lights which have environmental benefits, such as it being longer lasting and therefore don't need to be replaced often. It also consumes less energy which means they produce less heat.
