Project Brief
Everybody wants an app, and this is what ekeepe is out to help clubs both small and big have. The free version of the app allows clubs manage their teams, but can opt in to a paid version where an app is created for them to match the look and feel of the club.
Project Need
Sports clubs need a LOT to keep them running, from organising volunteers, notifying parents/players of game and training changes. The aim of the app is to keep everyone informed and poised for action.
User Experience
We wanted to make this app as easy as possible for the target audience which includes not only club managers and team members but also parents and friends. With this in mind, we have iterated on the way the home screen has been designed to ensure its a real time summary of everything the user needs to know, including better prioritisation of team updates and events.
A key focus was also making creating and managing team events nice and easy. So we went straight out on the field literally, road testing the flow with team coaches, which enabled is to refine and drill down to the basics every sports team coach needs to organise things.
One of the cool extras we worked on was creating a simple and seamless Apple Watch app experience. This allowed us leverage a great innovative device with the features of our app. You can now respond to team event request right from your wrist!
Project Marketing
Marketing for the project at the moment is based on word of mouth marketing. Since marketing a product can be a rather costly task, the success of the project is reliant on users recommending the app to other parents and users.
Project Privacy
User information is kept secure by ensuring everyone has authenticated themselves either through Facebook, twitter or a login. Members need to be approved by the administrators to keep users' personal information safe.
News, reference & information
We all rely on apps that broadcast or diffuse news and current affairs both locally and globally, keep us up to date with important information such as weather, warnings and hazards and allow us to quickly access information and reference resources.
