Many musicians think the audible click of a metronome takes the passion out of music - we agree! The click might even make you sound robotic. The vibration of the Soundbrenner Pulse guides you more naturally, as if someone would tap you on your shoulder.

It makes sense, if you think about it: Making music, we often tap our foot or move our body a bit. The feeling of the vibration integrates in that body feeling. That’s why you don’t need to focus so much as you would have to with an audible click. Focus on your music instead.

Project Need

With the Soundbrenner Pulse, there are three ways that musicians can set the beat they want to keep. The first is Soundbrenner’s unique BPM Tap feature (beats per minute) that enables musicians simply to tap the desired tempo onto the face of the device. This activates the capacitive touch sensor that captures the tempo while a proprietary algorithm translates the tap into haptic feedback in the form of distinct vibrations. Alternatively, musicians can rotate the BPM Wheel surrounding the face of the device or use the Soundbrenner app to decrease or increase
the number of beats up to 300 BPM.

Soundbrenner licenses a patented haptic driver to control an eccentric rotating mass (ERM) vibration motor that has a vibration amplitude of 6G. Compared to smartphones and smartwatches whose typical vibration motors are rated 1G to 2G and deliver long, drawn Q out and weak vibrations, the Soundbrenner Pulse delivers strong, distinct and accurate vibrations that are easily felt on the skin.
