design100 has today announced tour dates and details for design summit [GOV].  A new inititative in the design summit tour, design summit [GOV] will take place on Tuesday 26 April.

design summit [GOV] will kick off with the [forum], a series of candid interviews with award winning projects from the [GOV] AUS Design Awards and local design leaders exploring the themes of:  Design Courage, Made for People, Design Economy and Future Now. Hosted by renowned Australian presenter, Fenella Kernebone, the audience will hear firsthand the stories behind these projects together with commentary from leading industry experts.

design100 Founder, Mark Bergin, remarked ''The [forum] isn’t just about how the design creative process occurred but how the project was commissioned, project managed and the exploration of the strategy and business model behind the project. It is an opportunity to gain key insights into the leading design projects that are at the forefront of transformation and innovation occuring throughout goverment. I encourage anyone with an interest in accelerating transformation by design to [get involved]. Everyone comes away from the summit having been challenged and inspired.''

Integral to design summit [GOV] is the [GOV] AUS Design Awards and nominating into the awards is a key way to [get involved].  This is the lead in program to the [forum] and interview projects will be a curated selection from the award winning nominations representing both goverment bodies and agencies and the designers commissioned to produce the projects. The [forum] will conclude with the [awards] trophy presentation, so there are wonderful opportunities to be front and centre at the summit.

The [GOV] AUS design awards nominations close 1 March. Winners and invited [forum] projects will be announced on 29 March.
